I just finished the book, Boundaries with Teens: When to Say Yes, How to Say No by John Townsend. This is a great introductory material into the world of teenagers. The book gives helpful guidelines how to manage and instruct your teenager at home. What I also liked about this book is that the author covered a wide range of issues and topics that you can find with teenagers. I did wished that the author would go more in depth on some of the specific issues in the book, but I realize that he had to cover a wide spectrum of topics.

What did I learn from this book? I learned that teenagers can be very unpredictable. And as the adult, I should not react inappropriately when I encounter things that I don’t like or don’t agree with my teenager. Now, it’s easier said than done, as many of us learned that already who have one or more teenager at home. That’s why we need Jesus who can help us by giving us love and patience for our teenagers. May God give us the grace to navigate through this uneasy period of our children.
